Bashar Mustafa Bani Yaseen (born on June 1, 1977) is a Jordanian footballer who plays in defense for Al-Wahdat. He is also a member of the Jordan national football team and has always played as player number 6 until currently he became number 8.
He is one of the vice-captains of the Jordan national football team and participated in both the 2004 Asian Cup and 2011 Asian Cup. In 2004 when Jordan had a penalty shoot-out with Japan in the quarter finals, Bashar was the reason why his national team Jordan was knocked out of the 2004 Asian Cup after he missed Jordan's last penalty against Japan. However, he tried to make it up to Jordan after he scored a goal against Uzbekistan in the quarter finals of 2011 and has proven himself. During the 2011 Asian Cup, he took place as team captain after his captain Hatem Aqel received an injury from Japan on match day 1 during group stage.[1][2]
